Frequently Asked Questions

How can I book your facility?
You can check live availability, options and cost right here, right now, on the booking page. Then you can continue to place your reservation. Alternatively, you can use the form on the contact page, use the chat window at the bottom of the page (where available), or simply email or call us.

What does the hourly cost include?
It includes the use of the facility, including equipment and support. It also includes receiving any type of call and making IP calls. Dialing over ISDN has an additional per minute cost, which depends on the destination and speed.

What are your opening hours?
The bookings can be made at any time and for any time, including weekends and bank holidays.

How do I access your facility out of office hours?
Use the intercom at the door. In case of problems phone us. The technician will arrive at the facility at least 15 minutes before the booked time. Outside of working hours our telephone is transferred to the technician on stand-by.

How can I make a booking for same day?
The booking system allows reservations at least 24 hours ahead. If you require an earlier time, please phone.

How do I pay?
Unless you have been pre-approved or you are an existing client, you will be required to provide credit card details during booking process. An invoice will be created at the end of the booking and an itemised receipt (or invoice) will be emailed to you in PDF format.

Can you invoice the company which will be interviewing me?
Yes, just send them the link to our website to make the booking.  Alternatively you could make the booking yourself and forward the itemized receipt to them requesting reimbursement.  Note that the party that makes the booking is contractually obliged to meet the cost.

Do I need to have any specific knowledge to use your facility?
No, we are a dedicated facility, connecting people daily. Simply turn up and the technician will do the rest.

What if my meeting runs overtime?
You will be able to continue as long as the room is available. However, to guarantee that the meeting can continue for as long as you need we recommend reserving the time in advance.

Will you charge for an additional hour if I run over by 10 minutes?
No, we will charge additional time in 15 minute slots.

How can I arrange a test call?
We can do a free test, up to two minutes, when the system and the technician are available. Please ask the remote site to contact us to arrange a convenient time. Our system can also be left on stand-by overnight by arrangement, so that remote locations can connect for an unmanned test at any time. If a specific time is required, or if testing is extended for longer than two minutes, the time will be charged and added to the booking. No attendance in person is required for testing.

Do you support IP or ISDN calls?
We do support both IP and ISDN calls. Our IP line is a high quality dedicated 10Mb leased line, and our ISDN lines support up to 512K connection.

Is your facility compatible with other systems?
We can connect to any standard video conferencing system, regardless of the brand or model. Major makes include Polycom, Tandberg and Lifesize. Other brands are Cisco, Radvision, Sony, Aethra, Vcon, etc. Standard video conferencing systems support H.323 or H.230 protocols.

Can firewall be an issue?
Some corporate video conferencing systems are used only internally, so they are hidden from the outside world behind a corporate firewall. To connect to the outside on an IP call, their firewall has to be correctly configured. This doesn’t apply to ISDN connections.

IP or ISDN – Which is better?
ISDN is an old technology, and it entails a per minute call cost to dial out. The speed of ISDN is low, but the quality is consistent. IP uses internet, which doesn’t carry call charges, and usually results in much better quality. However, the IP line has to be good quality (not just high speed). Our IP is a dedicated 10Mb pipe, which can support 5 high definition calls simultaneously.

Do you support High Definition?
Yes, via our HD compatible equipment and IP line. For a High Definition connection, the remote location must also support it and it’s possible only over IP with at least 1.5Mb speed (we can support 10Mb).

Do I have to behave differently in the videoconferencing meeting?
No, just be natural. Our setup is designed to allow you to concentrate on the meeting and not on the technology.

Can your facility be used for a remote job interview?
Yes. Many of the meetings at the facility are job interviews. We are set-up to give the candidate the best chance with flattering lighting, clear sound and a comfortable setting.

Can your facility be used for court proceedings?
Yes. We regularly facilitate video links with courts around the world. We can provide a bible for swearing in witnesses.  In addition, we can provide professional legal videography and stenography.  Additional rooms can be booked for consultations out of earshot of the court or the other parties present.

Can my meeting be recorded?
Yes, we can record your meeting on a DVD as an additional option which can be selected on the booking form. At the end of your video conference you will receive a DVD video of the remote location, our location or both sides.  In all cases you would have audio from both sides.

What if my question is not here?
Please check if the chat window is available at the bottom of your screen for live chat. Alternatively please use the contact page to get in touch by email or phone.
